You don’t have to work it out alone

Most doctors and medical students have an idea, a dataset, or half a manuscript — and nobody to ask. We work alongside you at whatever level you need: a single consultation, step-by-step guidance through your own project, or a research team that takes it on with you.

Three ways we work with you

1

Research done with you

For doctors and students who want a paper but have never done the work before. Our research team takes the project on with you — design, data, analysis and writing — and you stay involved and named as an author for the part you contribute.

  • Study design and protocol
  • Ethics and approvals
  • Data collection and analysis
  • Manuscript and submission
Best for: no experience, want to publish →
2

Consultation

For doctors and students already working on something who need an experienced second opinion — on an idea, a method, an analysis that isn’t behaving, or where and how to publish.

  • Is this idea worth doing?
  • Review of design or methods
  • Statistics and interpretation
  • Journal choice and reviewer replies
Best for: stuck on one question →

Step-by-step guidance

For anyone who wants to do their own research but doesn’t want to do it blind. You hold the project; we walk through it with you stage by stage, so you learn the skill while the paper gets written.

  • Regular one-to-one sessions
  • Feedback on every stage
  • Your name, your project
  • You can do the next one alone
Best for: want to learn by doing →

Who comes to us

Doctors

Residents and specialists who need publications for promotion, a fellowship, or a board requirement — and have clinical material worth writing up but no time or training to do it.

Medical students

Students who want research on their CV before applying for residency, and want it done properly rather than their name added to something they don’t understand.

Anyone mid-project

A dataset that won’t analyse, a manuscript rejected twice, a review that stalled at screening. One session is often enough to unblock it.

Our own graduates

Students who finished the research course and are ready to join the team and publish their first paper with supervision.

How it works

The first call carries no obligation — it exists so we can tell you honestly which of the three routes fits, or that your project doesn’t need us at all.

1

Tell us where you are

A short form: your idea or problem, your field, and what you’ve done so far.

2

Introductory call

A short call to agree the scope, the route, the timeline and the authorship.

3

Work begins

Agreed milestones, with a named contact and regular sessions.

4

Submission

Journal selection, submission, and support through reviewer replies.

How we handle authorship

We agree authorship in writing before the work starts, following ICMJE criteria — everyone who contributes is named, and everyone named has contributed. We don’t sell authorship on work you had no part in, and we don’t write a paper you couldn’t defend in a viva or at a conference.

Agreed before we start

Who does what, author order, and what happens if the scope changes.

Your data stays yours

Confidential, used only for your project, handled under your institution’s rules.
